Mirae Aged Care Cabramatta Pty Ltd is committed to maintaining a culture of integrity, transparency, accountability, and safe care practices.

We encourage clients, families, staff, contractors, volunteers, and community members to report concerns regarding misconduct, unsafe practices, unethical behaviour, or breaches of legislation and organisational policies.

Mirae Aged Care supports individuals who speak up in good faith and is committed to ensuring reports are managed respectfully, confidentially, and fairly.


Our Commitment

Mirae Aged Care is committed to:

  • promoting ethical and professional conduct
  • encouraging open communication and reporting of concerns
  • protecting individuals who raise concerns from victimisation, retaliation, discrimination, or unfair treatment
  • managing reports confidentially wherever possible
  • investigating concerns appropriately and fairly
  • supporting continuous improvement and compliance

What Can Be Reported

Concerns that may be reported include:

  • abuse, neglect, or exploitation
  • unsafe care or work practices
  • fraud or financial misconduct
  • breaches of privacy or confidentiality
  • discrimination, harassment, or bullying
  • breaches of legislation, standards, or organisational policies
  • serious misconduct or unethical behaviour
  • risks to client safety or wellbeing

Reports may be made anonymously if preferred.


Protection for Whistleblowers

Individuals who report concerns in good faith will be protected from:

  • victimisation
  • intimidation
  • discrimination
  • retaliation
  • unfair treatment

Mirae Aged Care will take reasonable steps to maintain confidentiality and support the wellbeing of individuals who raise concerns.

Investigation Process

All reports are reviewed appropriately and may be investigated depending on the nature and seriousness of the concern.

Mirae Aged Care will:

  • assess the concern
  • take reasonable action where required
  • maintain confidentiality where possible
  • implement corrective or preventive actions if necessary

Serious matters may be escalated to relevant regulatory authorities where required by law.


Privacy and Confidentiality

All whistleblower reports are handled in accordance with:

  • Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
  • Australian Privacy Principles
  • Aged Care Quality Standards
  • NDIS Practice Standards

Information will only be shared with authorised persons involved in managing or investigating the concern.
