Pensioner Travel Vouchers ( NSW)

The vouchers provide free or discounted travel in economy class on NSW TrainLink Regional services within regional New South Wales.

Who’s eligible?

If you hold a NSW/ACT pensioner concession card or a NSW War Widow/er transport concession card, you’re entitled to 4 Pensioner Travel Vouchers each calendar year.

You can use the vouchers for 2 return or 4 single trips, and if you want to upgrade to first class you only pay 15% of the full adult peak season fare.

If you cross the New South Wales border into another state, you pay 50% of the relevant economy or first class fare for the interstate section. Sleeping berths will attract an additional charge.

How to apply

You need to register your concession card with NSW TrainLink by calling 13 22 32 to be eligible for the vouchers.

Things to keep in mind
  • Once you’ve registered your concession card, you can book your trip online.
  • Always carry your concession card with you when you travel, as the on-board crew will need to check it.
  • NSW Trainlink keeps track of the number of vouchers you’ve used, and can tell you how many you have left.
