The Australian Government is introducing the Support at Home Program in July 2025, which will replace the current Home Care Packages (HCP), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC).
This reform is designed to create a simpler, fairer, and more flexible aged care system that better supports older people to live independently at home.
What will change?
A single program will combine multiple funding streams, reducing complexity for older people and families.
New service categories will give clients greater choice and control over the type of care they receive.
The program will focus on individual goals, cultural needs, and wellbeing, not just clinical care.
What does this mean for you?
For seniors currently receiving a Home Care Package, your services will continue, but over time they will transition into the new Support at Home Program. Mirae Aged Care Cabramatta will work closely with you and your family to ensure a smooth transition, keeping your care consistent and tailored to your needs.
Our commitment
At Mirae Aged Care, we are preparing for these changes to ensure our clients continue to receive high-quality, compassionate, and personalised support.
